Opie
Learn More Here
Meet Opie
Opie grew up in an overcrowded shelter in Texas before arriving to Maine to find his forever home. He thrives with other dogs so he would do best in a home with other dogs friends where he can be part of the pack. He can be fearful of people, but warms up with trust and consistency. Once he trusts you, he is a total goofball. He is currently working with a trainer to help him continue his success of being adopted that can continue after he is adopted.
Poppy
Learn More Here
Meet Poppy
Poppy is a sweet girl that loves to give kisses. She gets along with other dogs, walks well on leash and is easy to redirect. She can be shy and we are working every day on her building more and more confidence. A quieter home setting would be great for her to flourish in.
Hank

Meet Hank
Hank is a handsome guy, especially in person. He walks great on a leash. He is a very sweet dog and his energy level is light to moderate. He gravitates more towards women, but also gets along with our male staff. He gets along with most other dogs.

Meet Ollie
Ollie is a handsome boy. He is missing one of his legs, but he doesn’t let it slow him down. He loves to go outside and play with other dogs. He will do best in a home with another dog he gets along with.
Winnie
Learn More Here
Meet Winnie
Winnie was fostered before arriving to us. She is calm and easygoing for a 6 month old puppy. She loves being around other dogs and it helps her learn new things. She is potty trained and sleeps quietly in her crate all night. She loves relaxing on the couch or living room floor. Car rides are one of her favorite things. She likes the dog park and enjoys swimming. Young children can overwhelm her so she’d do best in a home with older children or not children.
Iris
Learn More Here
Meet Iris
Iris loves playdates with other dogs. She does well sharing toys and loves to run around the play park. She also loves to go out on walks/hikes. If you put her on a long leash, she will sniff like crazy and enjoy the extra freedom to explore. She is such a good girl that is very smart, friendly and fun! She does have a lot of energy and would do well in a home where she can go outside and be active regularly. She is not good with cats or any small animals under 25 lbs.
Sammy
Learn More Here
Meet Sammy
Sammy came to us from our rescue partner LaMa in Webster Parish. This cute little white-as-ghost 7 month old (just in time for Halloween?) gets along with other dogs and is super playful. Honestly, most puppies are, but when the rescue partner tells you he’s playful, he’s definitely going to be a lot of fun. We can’t wait to see who he pairs up with to live his best life here in New England!
Bailey

Chloe came to us from Brenham, Texas (near Austin). In one word: “Snuggalishus.” She’s a big butterball with a sweet heart. Full of tail wags and a great lover of belly rubs, she’s loved outside for about 3 years and is ready to settle down in a forever home where she can have the security and comfort of being inside… and of course lots of snuggling and belly rubs.
June

Meet June
June has a sweet disposition and interacts that way with the people she meets, including children and other dogs. She comes to us in Maine from St Thomas.
Ariel
Learn More Here
Meet Ariel
Ariel was found in St Thomas after falling in a giant well at a school and almost drowning. Even after such a tragic event, she is a sweet girl and warms up very quickly to the people she meets. Although she’s 7 months old, she still has lots of puppy and play in her. She loves playing with other dogs, is good with kids and is great on a leash. We are not sure how she is with indoor cats, but she ignores the ones walking around outside that she sees.
Strauss
Learn More Here
Meet Strauss
Strauss arrived October 9th from Take Me Home Rescue near Austin, Texas. He is a very sweet, very gentle boy. Walks well on leash, loves kiddie pools. He can be a little shy at first but warms quickly to new people. He does well with female dogs and though he will struggle a little with male dogs and his “personal space” he eventually warms up to them, too. We are so excited to welcome this handsome two year old to Maine to start his new, better life!

Meet Jackie
Jackie arrived on October 9th from our friends at Take Me Home Rescue near Austin, Texas. She is FULL of personality. She was rescued from a bad situation and is now healthy and striving – and really eager to find her people to start her new life in New England. She is spunky, affectionate, playful and loves squeaky toys more than life itself. She is fully grown, just under 30 pounds and has a cute little nubby tail. She loves to show and receive love, is super curious and is a very happy, active girl. Jackie would make a great family pet fro someone looking for a smaller breed dog to join their adventures!
Rylie
Learn More Here
Meet Rylie
Rylie and Kylie are sisters, and came to us from our rescue partner LaMa in Webster Parish. They’re as different as two sibling puppies could possibly be, and they are each super cute in their own ways. Sometimes you look at a dog and just think, “gosh – that sweet girl is a work of art – she’s gorgeous”. Wait til she grows up! We’ve been told that the sisters are very playful and get along with other dogs. They are siblings, but are not a bonded pair, so they could just as easily go home with the same family or two different families. We can’t wait to welcome them with open arms and help them find their forever home(s)!
Kylie

Meet Kylie
Kylie and Rylie are sisters, and came to us from our rescue partner LaMa in Webster Parish. They’re as different as two sibling puppies could possibly be, and they are each super cute in their own ways. Kylie has a “stuffed animal” softness to her that we can’t wait to hold and snuggle with. We’ve been told that they’re very playful and get along with other dogs. They are siblings, but are not a bonded pair, so they could just as easily go home with the same family or two different families. We can’t wait to welcome them with open arms and help them find their forever home(s)!

This is Stormie, Tex’s sister, and she arrived on October 9th from our good friends at Take Me Home Rescue near Austin, Texas. We can’t wait to welcome her, her brother, and the rest of the gang making their way to us here in Maine. Pretty in pink and cute as a button. She’ll go fast, y’all. Meet Tex
Howdy, y’all. I’m Tex. I’m boot-scootin’ pleased to meet ya! I’m on my way from Take Me Home Rescue in the Austin, Texas area (don’t Take Me Home sound like the start of a great country song, y’all?). I arrived in Maine on October 9th and am settling in at the rescue long enough to meet my forever family. Country music lovers are not required – but I betcha I smile bigger for ’em than some of them others. Oh, and by the way – if you’re looking for a two-fer, check out my sister Stormie. She’s down right cute as June Bug in July!
Noah
Learn More Here
Meet Noah,
This Noah didn’t come from the Austin, Texas area and our friends at Take Me Home Rescue on an ark. He arrived on a transport bus – it’s the 21st century after all! Noah is one of six siblings, he’s 3 months old, and like his brothers and sisters, he’s eager to see what life in Maine is all about. He can’t WAIT to meet his forever family. Maybe that’s you?
Nariyah
Learn More Here
Meet Nariyah,
If you don’t know how this works, dogs get named when they’re rescued, and clearly Nariyah and her five siblings were all orginally named by someone with some Biblical history in their background. For the record, it’s 100% OK to change a young dog’s name when you adopt her. Nariyah is 3 months old, cute as all get out, and will go fast. If this picture caused you to fall in love, we can’t wait to meet you (you know, after you submit an adoption application from the link at the top of the page).

She’s adorable, stumbles over her own feet when she’s not paying attention, and is just generally so excited to be come to Maine to start a new life with a family here. She’s going to be a looker, and we predict she’ll go fast.
Martha

Meet Martha
Sweet Martha. 10 pounds of elegant, sweet, lapdog goodness, just waiting to meet her new BFF/TV/couch buddy. She came to us from our rescue partner LaMa in Webster Parish. They shared that she’s a senior, chill dog who gets along with other dogs. We get requests all the time for older lap-dog type dogs, so we knew the minute she hits the ground people will line up to meet her. Take that as a big hint. 🙂

If the total cuteness caught your eye, and you have “Georgia on My Mind” Syndrome, here’s what we know so far. Georgia arrived on October 9th from our friends at Take Me Home Rescue near Austin, Texas. She’s a 3 month old and has the cutest “white glove” paws you ever saw. We’ll post more once she arrives and we get to know her a little better, but know this… she will go fast, so if you’re humming Ray Charles right now, submit an adoption application and we’ll reach out to discuss.
