River

Simply put, River is a gorgeous dog.  She has classic Shepherd features and has an inspirational smile that is pretty much always present.  River is about 3 years old, comes to us from Midland Texas and our friends at Permian Basin Animal Advocates.

She’s a great dog, is super laid back, and is happy to see every human there is. We think she may have a little hound dog as she loves birds a LOT.

As a more mature dog, River can be left out in the living room all day with no accidents or chewing, loves the couch and happily greets whoever comes in with that trademark smile.

Sometimes when a dog arrives on campus, you can see the relief in their eyes as they take in the natural Maine beauty that surrounds the cabins and play areas.  This happened as River was escorted off the bus and we can’t wait to help her find a great family with whom she’ll start a new life.
