About Yellar

*** Arrives Saturday November 16th ***

We’d like to introduce you to a special young pup named Yellar.  (As in the color… we think… he’s from Louisiana).  Yellar will be traveling north to us via our good friends at our partner rescue LaMa Animal Rescue.

Yellar was found in the woods in southern Louisiana, and when he went in for his neutering, the vet discovered an issue with his eye that required its removal.  Yellar handled it like a trooper, is totally fine, and is really getting excited about traveling north and starting a new and better life in Maine with a loving family.

He is not aggressive, and is one of the sweetest dogs ever, but he comes with an odd quirk – he will not take a leash.  If he’s leashed up, he lays on the floor and refuses to move – so our buddy Yellar is going to need a family with a fenced in yard so he can be let out to do his thing and get his exercise.

If you’d like to meet Yellar or any of our adoptable dogs, please call us at 1-844-DOG-LIFE. We strongly recommend that serious adopters complete our online adoption application (on the Adoptable Dogs page) in advance of your visit so that we have your information in hand and so that if it all goes well, we can expedite the adoption.
