Persistence has paid off for our friends Heidi and Keith. Jonah has been adopted and it was truly meant to be.
When Jonah made his debut on the website shortly after his arrival from Texas, he generated quite a few emails and calls. None was as persistent as Heidi, who emphatically knew Jonah was meant to be part of her family. She was right, by the way.
Heidi and Keith, who live in Limington, brought their 10 year old Pittie that you see in the picture to meet Jonah, and it was love at first sight. There was a lot of very patient sniffing and sweetness going on, and we all teared up a little bit as we collectively realized that Jonah was happy.
Jonah replaces a beloved pup that Heidi and Keith lost a year ago, and as Heidi first predicted, it was meant to be.
One of the great joys of being part of Grammy Rose is seeing what the dogs look like when they arrive (in this case Jonah came off the big red bus into the waiting arms of Marsha, one of our super loyal volunteers and was clearly happy to be here), and then later what they look like when the match is made and the adoption takes place. In this case, Jonah is all smiles, and for those of us who watched it happen, we’re all smiles and a few happy tears as well. We love you little Jonah, and we hope you have the happiest life ever!
