One of our younger volunteers met Rue the other day and turned to us and said, “She’s so soft!” It’s true, and as a Husky mix, she’s got the looks, the smile, the deep brown eyes and yes, the softness you’d expect.
Rue comes to us from Midland Texas and our friends at Permian Basin Animal Advocates. She’s a little over 2 years and 4 months old and weighs about 48 pounds. One of the sweetest dogs ever, she’s got personality for days and as our rescue manager Cindy tells it, she’s “just a great dog.”
Rue loves everyone and just wants to be wherever you are. We’ve had a lot of fun playing tug-of-war with her using our big rope toy. She has really blossomed since she arrived. She’s just overall a very nice, well-rounded dog that will fit in to just about any family setting.
She may not have had the greatest start to life, but we know great things are in store for sweet Rue. We can’t wait to see her jump into the car of her new family and ride off into a happy, happy life.
