The dogs on this page are on campus and are available for adoption. If you’d like to meet any of our adoptable dogs, please complete an adoption application or give us a call at 844-DOG-LIFE (844-364-5433). We’re open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to answer any questions you might have.

Grammy Rose is the Place Where Dogs and People Rescue Each Other. Our goal is to help each of these deserving dogs find the best possible home. We look forward to speaking with you and learning more about what you’re looking for.

Meet Opie

Opie grew up in an overcrowded shelter in Texas before arriving to Maine to find his forever home. He thrives with other dogs so he would do best in a home with other dogs friends where he can be part of the pack. He can be fearful of people, but warms up with trust and consistency. Once he trusts you, he is a total goofball. He is currently working with a trainer to help him continue his success of being adopted that can continue after he is adopted.

Meet Poppy

Poppy is a sweet girl that loves to give kisses. She gets along with other dogs, walks well on leash and is easy to redirect. She can be shy and we are working every day on her building more and more confidence. A quieter home setting would be great for her to flourish in.

Hank

Meet Hank

Hank is a handsome guy, especially in person. He walks great on a leash. He is a very sweet dog and his energy level is light to moderate. He gravitates more towards women, but also gets along with our male staff. He gets along with most other dogs.

Ollie

Meet Ollie

Ollie is a handsome boy. He is missing one of his legs, but he doesn’t let it slow him down. He loves to go outside and play with other dogs. He will do best in a home with another dog he gets along with.

Winnie

Meet Winnie

Winnie was fostered before arriving to us. She is calm and easygoing for a 6 month old puppy. She loves being around other dogs and it helps her learn new things. She is potty trained and sleeps quietly in her crate all night. She loves relaxing on the couch or living room floor. Car rides are one of her favorite things. She likes the dog park and enjoys swimming. Young children can overwhelm her so she’d do best in a home with older children or not children.

Meet Iris

Iris loves playdates with other dogs. She does well sharing toys and loves to run around the play park. She also loves to go out on walks/hikes. If you put her on a long leash, she will sniff like crazy and enjoy the extra freedom to explore. She is such a good girl that is very smart, friendly and fun! She does have a lot of energy and would do well in a home where she can go outside and be active regularly. She is not good with cats or any small animals under 25 lbs.

Meet Savannah

Savannah is a very sweet girl. She loves taking car rides to visit with people. She is gentle with her approach and you won’t see her little butt stop wiggling as she comes up to you to say hi and get a pet in. She is dog selective and would be better in a home where she’s the only pup.

Bailey

Bailey loves butt scratches! He still has some pep in his step, but he also is more than happy to snuggle up next to you while you sit on the couch. He does great on car rides and is just a happy guy.

Daisy

Meet Daisy

Daisy is a sweet girl. She is on the calmer side but does like to run around outside. She enjoys playing in the water and with other dogs as well.

Nutt

Meet Nutt

Nutt is a little peanut as her name suggests. She’s a sweet older gal that likes to run around and play still but is a true lap dog. She and her brother, Bolt, are bonded and we’d love to see them go home together.

Bolt is a handsome little lad. He may be older but he still has a lot of love and time to give whoever his new forever person will be. He and his sister, Nutt, are bonded and we’d love to see them go home together.

Blossom

Meet Blossom

As you can see in these photos, Blossom isn’t a lap dog by size but in her mind, she still is one! She will run up to see you, give you lots of love and wait for pets. She is good with other dogs but does try to play too much with cats so we’d recommend a home with no cats.

Mika loves kids and being around people. She is leash and kennel trained. She gets along great with other dogs as well.

Buddy

Buddy is an older guy. He is very sweet and likes to cuddle. His owner for many years unfortunately went into a nursing home and could no longer keep him so we’re hoping to find him a wonderful forever home to spend the rest of his days.

Moe

Mo is amazing! He is so friendly, enjoys the trails, is great on a leash, very mellow boy, loves scratches and soft snacks. You should have seen him before his haircut. He is a sheep dog and can grow long hair if you let him.

Carly is house, leash and crate trained. She is energetic and playful. She does great meeting new people and playing with other dogs.

Meet June

June has a sweet disposition and interacts that way with the people she meets, including children and other dogs. She comes to us in Maine from St Thomas.

Galinda

Galinda is good with dogs and cats as well as children. She is house and crate trained and does well walking on a leash while out and about. She has been living in a foster home for about a year and is ready for her forever home.

Penelope likes to take naps and cuddle up at your feet. She is a sweet gal and she gets along with other pups.

Ariel

Meet Ariel

Ariel was found in St Thomas after falling in a giant well at a school and almost drowning. Even after such a tragic event, she is a sweet girl and warms up very quickly to the people she meets. Although she’s 7 months old, she still has lots of puppy and play in her. She loves playing with other dogs, is good with kids and is great on a leash. We are not sure how she is with indoor cats, but she ignores the ones walking around outside that she sees.

Finnley is a lab mix. He is good with other dogs and kids. He likes to be outside running around in the sun and playing. He was originally found in Texas very malnourished but has been well cared for and is back to being a health, happy and fun loving boy.
