The dogs on this page have been selected to come to Grammy Rose and are either preparing for transit or are in transit to the rescue. Once they arrive, they will move to the “Adoptable Dogs” page. If you have questions or need more information, please call us at 844-DOG-LIFE (844-364-5433).
If you’d like to meet any of the dogs on this page once they arrive, we strongly recommend that serious adopters complete our online adoption application in advance of your call or visit so that we have your information in hand, and so that if it all goes well, we can expedite your adoption. It also gives us an opportunity to get to know a little about you, your home and your lifestyle, which in turn helps us make the best match possible for the deserving dogs we rescue.

Meet Darryl
When we saw Darryl on the website for our partner rescue in Brenham, Texas, we had to have him as we know he’ll go fast. The first order of business was to change his name from “Dippy” to Darryl after we all agreed that he’s way too cute to be called that. We also took his “other brother Darryl,”known to us now as Monty. They will arrive with the rest of the Brenham brood on October 3rd.

OK, so we’re not sure where the name Rooster came from, but oddly we like it and think it fits him. Rooster is a 2 year old Shepherd Mix who is on his way to us from Brenham, Texas (near Austin). He’s kennel trained and used to being out doors. He knows basic commands, loves hugs and kisses, and does okay with other dogs but not with small animals. Rooster arrives on October 3rd.
