The Grammy Rose Founders Club

The Grammy Rose Founders Club

Named for Grammy Rose Wentworth’s granddaughter and the rescue’s founder Linda Joy Grigerek, the Founder’s Club honors those who, like Linda, have included the rescue in their estate planning through charitable bequests, beneficiary designations, trusts and other provisions.

Linda’s vision and leadership during the rescue’s formative years created a legacy that ensures her dream of saving worthy dogs from across the country and beyond and helping them find forever families in Maine and New England for generations to come.

Linda’s passion to create our unique rescue and sanctuary was heavily influenced by her own rescue experience and the many dogs she rescued over the years, including our rescue’s beloved mascot Sammie, who was rescued in nearby in Kennebunk and who passed away at the age of 15 in 2025.  In addition, several of the cabins in which the dogs live until they are adopted are named for dogs Linda and her husband Glen rescued.

The generosity of the Founder’s Club members ensures Linda’s dream lives on for years to come.

Bequests and Beneficiary Designations

Through a provision in your will, you can gift Grammy Rose Dog Rescue & Sanctuary a percentage of your estate or a fixed dollar amount.  Bequests are the simplest and most common planned giving methods.  If your est, commonely known as a bequest, which passes to your intended beneficiaries according to the terms of your will.

In addition, other assests such as life insurance and retirement plans are not controlled by the terms of your will, and can also be easily designated to Grammy Rose Dog Rescue & Sanctuary.

For more information on bequests and beneficiary designations, please download our Founder’s Club brochure, and discuss your plans with your financial advisor or attorney.

If you’d like to discuss your plans or wishes with us, please contact the rescue at 844-DOG-LIFE (844-364-543) and ask for our Executive Director, Amanda Boileau, who can also be reached by email at [email protected].
