Volunteering at Grammy Rose
It does indeed take a village… Much of the Rescue’s success comes from the incredible love and support we received from the local Acton community and the surrounding area. We are grateful that we have over 150 local volunteers who visit the campus on a regular basis, day in and day out, to help us feed, exercise and nurture the dogs in our care. As a non-profit, having this small army of dedicated and caring neighbors has been a Godsend in helping to keep our operating costs down. The dogs LOVE the volunteers – it’s like having a large group of sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles and grandparents spoiling them with affection, and it might not surprise you that some of the dogs we’ve saved from afar now live nearby with some of our volunteers.
Our volunteers assist with many aspects of our operation beyond dog care. We welcome folks with a variety of talents to help us with administrative tasks, serving as welcoming faces for visitors to the Rescue, helping us maintain our beautiful wooded hiking trails, landscaping, routine maintenance, and just about anything you can think of.
If you’re interested in joining us as a volunteer, please complete our online Volunteer Application and our volunteer coordinator will reach out to you to discuss your availability and what you’d like to do to support our mission.
Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Grammy Rose Dog Rescue and Sanctuary!
