September 30, 2025.  Bountiful gifts to Grammy Rose come from every walk of life.  In this case, Grammy Rose has been blessed to receive a gift based on a bountiful harvest and an incredibly thoughtful and enterprising young entrepreneur.

Pictured is young Calvin who has a farmstand right here in Acton called Calvin’s Community Farmstand (located on Foxes Ridge Road), where he offers fresh eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables and more from the handcrafted stand that sits in his front yard.  The farmstand operates on a pay-as-you-can model, making these fresh farm-grown items available to anyone.

Calvin stopped by the rescue today to drop off a cash donation of $272, which was half of his farmstand’s proceeds for the month of September.  We were totally blown away by this amazing gesture, and we were thrilled to learn he hopes to do this again next season.  To Calvin – we are truly grateful for your thoughtful support!
