(2/6/2025) Izzy, who patiently waited every day to find her family, finally went to her forever home yesterday too. She waited so long, and now every moment of that wait feels so worth it. Sometimes, the perfect family just takes a bit more time to arrive—and for Izzy, that time is now.
This morning, after her first night home, her new family sent this beautiful update: “Izzy has been so snuggly and happy, her favorite place is our king bed between mom and dad. We expected her to be nervous and anxious the first night, but she went belly up immediately and has been so mellow! Even when the UPS man knocked on the door, she didn’t bark or move from her spot on the couch!
We keep looking at her wondering why nobody adopted this angel sooner! She’s so lovely! We think it’s because she was meant for us. She was obviously well taken care of, and we can’t wait to build our lives around her. She is absolutely wonderful. We’re so glad we found her. Thank you all for everything you do! We’ll bring her by when the weather turns to say hi.”
For a dog like Izzy, who spent so much time waiting in rescue, this is the dream. She is finally home—truly home—surrounded by a family who adores her. No more waiting, no more uncertainty. Just love, comfort, and a life full of happiness ahead.
